Orb - 2022
Orb is an Nigerian event discovery, booking and management platform, created with the aim of with the goal of bringing the best of what’s happening in cities like London and New York into a curated mobile experience
My Role
- Developed and maintained a design language across iOS, Android, web and event management tools.
- User research, prototyping, UI design
Orb was designed to work for all kinds of events, ranging from a political summit to a cookout. Orb was built to accomodate events that could be booked in months away to a simple school comedy show.
For context, the booking flow for simplier one-off events and that of sophisticated events are similar. In order to acheive said goal, the booking and creation of event flow had to be simple and unambiguous. Although neglecting the discredited 3-Click Rule, provide balanced user interaction with no extra clicks was inherited.
Designed With mobile screens as priority, Orb was designed with the mobile first principle adopted from TailwindCSS, allowing for an in-depth filtering, extensive metadata and ability.
With an anticipated 100K of weekly, Orb is set to become the go to website for events goers and events organiser in Nigeria.
